This 15-round 45 ACP magazine will turn any 1911 into a high-capacity firearm (literally; don’t take this mag where high-capacity mags are illegal, or else it could be the slammer for you). ProMag manufactured it using steel, which is heat-treated for added strength and resilience and finished with black oxide for added protection against the elements. The mag’s spring – a coil of heat-treated chrome silicon wire – can withstand long-term compression without losing function. Its follower is made of precision-molded polymer, and can be trusted to push round after round after round into your favorite 1911’s open chamber.
