1000rds – 40 S&W Speer Gold Dot 180gr. Bonded JHP Ammo Details
Speer Gold Dot ammunition is one of the most respected products when it comes to self-defense and duty loads! This .40 Smith & Wesson cartridge profile utilizes reloadable brass casings that are coated in low-friction nickel for corrosion resistance as well as smooth, dependable feeding and ejection. Each case is accompanied by a clean-igniting CCI primer and precise volume of propellant that have been matched and formulated to produce very little muzzle flash; this reduces a shooter's night blindness and enables them to make fast, accurate follow-up shots. The round is capped off with a 180 grain bonded hollow-point bullet. The Gold Dot bullet design applies copper plating to a swaged lead core via a patented Uni-Cor process. This results in a uniform outer layer that is permanently attached to the core and will not separate even when fired through auto-glass. The Gold Dot's wide-mouth and jacket skiving ensure that it begin expanding upon impact with a threat while the bonded construction maintains momentum during entry for deep, effective penetration. 180 grains is a slightly heavy weight for .40 S&W and boasts impressive energy that will be deposited into vital organs and achieve a quick drop. This weight also matches numerous practice loads that share the same recoil and flight characteristics.
Speer, a company associated with Federal and CCI, has been known for their unique bullet designs since the 1950s. Their products are backed by street-proven performance alongside the successful fulfillment of ongoing government contracts.
