Magtech loads this 9mm ammo for self-defense. It’s branded as “Subsonic,” which is a bit odd considering that all 9mm 147gr ammo is subsonic. We suppose Magtech is big enough to do whatever they want.

The Brazilian conglomerate’s jacketed hollow point bullet is steel-free; just lead and copper, with a notched nose cavity that triggers swift and harmful terminal expansion immediately following impact. The base of the JHP is jacketed, which makes this subsonic ammo an even sweeter pick for a suppressed firearm on range day. Less fouling to remove from the baffles afterward!

This ammo is loaded with excellent brass cases: pin straight and cut precisely, ready to feed and extract reliably, averse to stovepiping, and repeatedly reloadable.
