This round’s propellant charge is formulated and weighed to produce a muzzle velocity of only 1,070 fps, safely below what it would take to break the sound barrier.

This cartridge has its caliber’s common 40 grain bullet. As a lead round nose it’s an economical projectile, with a shape that seals well against the bore and a meplat that conveys good energy upon impact. This bullet’s uniform weight distribution gives it stability, and its subsonic muzzle velocity still delivers zero drop at 50 yards.

This round is outfitted with the high quality rimfire primer that made CCI famous, as well as a consistent shell casing and propellant charge which promote smooth functionality in a semi-automatic firearm. You’ll notice little difference between this round’s performance and CCI’s premium match cartridge’s!
