These shells maintain their effectiveness at much greater distances than the competition due to their use of Shot-Lok resin buffering. Shot-Lok starts as a liquid poured into the shell, where it dries solid. When the shell is fired, the resin shatters instantly and forms a buffer that provides unmatched protection to the pellets. Each 3-1/2" shell in this box of 10 fires a heavy 2-1/8 oz. column of #6 birdshot at a muzzle velocity of 1,050 feet per second.
