CCI’s 45 Colt (aka 45 Long Colt) shotshells are a great way to get payback on pests! This cartridge makes short work of rats, snakes, arachnids, and other critters that don’t deserve to share your oxygen.

This round ends in a plastic capsule instead of a bullet. Inside are over 40 pieces of #4 lead shot, any one of which could put an immediate end to a pest’s plans for the future. Its light shot column and low muzzle velocity (800 fps out of a 6” barrel) give this round weak recoil, although cylinder lockup may still occur in lightweight revolvers. If it happens to you, switch to chambering one load at a time.
