10rds – 9mm CCI Shotshell 1/8oz. #12 Shot Ammo Details

Snakes and rats. They’re not very popular animals. No one is decorating their new baby’s nursery with colorful pictures of snakes and rats -- and if they are, good luck to that kid.

This cartridge by CCI will let you transform a weapon chambered for 9mm into an effective snake and rat busting tool. Its “bullet” is actually a plastic capsule that disintegrates at the moment of ignition. Within that are 1/8 ounces of #12 shot. That doesn’t sound like much, but #12 shot is so small that this round still contains nearly 300 pellets.

This round also features a base wad that prevents gas blowby, its manufacturer’s dependable primer, and an economical and lightweight aluminum shell casing. This round is a blast to shoot, and a surefire way to depopulate the venomous and chewing pests on your property. As unconventional as it is, however, it comes with a few caveats:

• This round’s lightweight projectile may cause some firearms to function incorrectly.
• Do not chamber this round in a firearm with a ported barrel or recoil compensator.
Do not reload this cartridge’s shell casing.

This is only accurate up to 7 yds. I have several other calibers that also have Shotshells, and the revolver type shells don't stick of course, but in semi auto's, the shells tend to get stuck and not cycle fully... I have tried this with the 9mm, .40 S&W, but of course the .45LC and the .357/.38 don't cylce, but I sometimes had to cycle twice, just to get them to fire....
