Military Surplus 150 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details
A swell deal on 30-06 ammo courtesy of the Turkish Military! They never got around to firing this government production ammo from the 1960s, so it just sat around in sealed metal cases for a few decades. We have finally cracked those water resistant cases wide open so we can ship their awesome contents to you! This cartridge is loaded with a 150 grain full metal jacket projectile. We have not determined whether or not the bullet is magnetic. We have also not recorded its muzzle velocity, although we suspect it is loaded to M2 ball specifications which require a minimum muzzle velocity of 2,740 fps.
Just to be safe, we only recommend 30-06 ammo for an M1 Garand if its packaging clearly indicates that it is designed for that rifle. However, it is worth noting that the nation of Turkey received approximately 312,000 M1 Garand rifles during the Cold War. (Turkish ceremonial guards are still issued M1 Garands to this day!)
This ammunition isn’t just non-corrosive – it is also brass-cased with sealed Boxer primers, which enhances its value as a resource for handloaders.
This ammo was originally packaged 1,000 rounds to a case. Case not included.

I received my order, 30.06 M1 Ball ammo in clean packaging. I purchased this Ammon hopping that I could use it at a Range that does not allow Steel core bullets. When I received the ammo I did a every other round magnate check and found that all were Lead core. So I was very pleased and ordered another 200 rounds. Can’t wait till it warms up so I can take my M1 & 1903 Springfield To the range. Thanks. I’ll be looking for additional ammo in the future.
