This round’s 150 grain jacketed hollow point is designed to deal lethal damage to deer. The bullet’s lead core is alloyed for added toughness, which promotes the weight retention that leads to a deeper wound channel. Its contoured jacket controls wide yet uniform expansion as well.

Neither the JHP nor the 30-30 itself is designed for long-range shooting. Still, you can reasonably expect this ammo to drop a deer in one shot throughout the 30-30’s entire effective range. The JHP is also perfectly safe for a lever-action rifle’s tubular magazine.
