This cartridge’s 60 grain bullet is no magic trick. It’s the V-MAX, which features the aerodynamic polymer tip, rotationally stable AMP jacket and optimized bearing surface which all lend themselves to outstanding accuracy. The V-MAX’s polymer tip includes a long shaft which extends down into its swaged lead core’s nose cavity. Impact drives the tip inward, disrupting the thin jacket rim and ultimately forcing strong expansion and fragmentation. The V-MAX achieves its desired result at ranges beyond 400 yards!

Hornady recorded this round’s 2,810 fps muzzle velocity and resultant 0.285 G1 BC with a 16” test barrel.
