20rds - .223 Hornady Superformance Varmint 53gr. V-Max Polymer Tip Ammo Details
Joyce Hornady founded his company, Hornady, in 1949 as a simple, two-man ammo production operation. From those humble beginnings, Hornady has evolved into an industry innovator and top producer of high-performance ammunition. Superformance is Hornady’s cutting-edge line of hunting ammo. Engineered to transcend convention and surpass current levels of performance, Hornady Superformance achieves velocities up to 200 feet per second faster than the competition. This blistering performance enhances accuracy and increases your weapon’s effective range.
Each factory fresh .223 Remington cartridge achieves a muzzle velocity of 3465 feet per second and delivers 1413 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Topped with a 53 grain V-Max projectile, these Superformance rounds are some of the most accurate and devastating varmint loads on the market. The secret to the explosive performance delivered by V-Max bullets lies in the red polymer tip. The tip rests on a hollow cavity in the bullet’s shaft. Upon target impact, the shaft of the polymer tip drives into the bullet’s swaged lead core, causing violent fragmentation in varmints, even at lower velocities.
This ammunition is non-corrosive, boxer primed, reloadable, and brass cased. Each package contains 20 high-quality rounds.

This is by far the most accurate ammo I've shot. I shoot it out of a Remington 700 sps varmint with a 26" heavy barrel and I'm inside an inch at 100 yards all day. I recently shot a coyote at 100 yards I hit him dead center in the chest when he was facing me and it dropped him. No yelp no twitch just dropped like a head shot. Absolutely brutal on squirrels and rabbits too. This is my favorite ammo for varmints.

I have shot this in my home built custom AR with an 18" Noveski middy barrel and it out shoots others shooting 24" heavy target barrelled bolt guns shooting other match ammo. I'll use nothing but this ammo from now on for serious shooting. Latest kill was 125yard shot at a yote running away from me. Rolled him up and he never twitched. Love this stuff.
