This new 223 Rem ammo by Hornady Critical Defense is premium self-protection ammunition for your AR-15 rifle. Hornady uses high-end components to craft these superb cartridges, including nickel-plated brass casings, low-flash powders, and 55gr. FTX bullets. Nickel-plated brass is a top choice for self-defense ammo due to its reliability in the chamber; the smooth feeding and ejecting of these cartridges lessens firearm malfunction and wear and tear. The 55gr. FTX bullet features a polymer tip for maximum expansion in soft tissue. These bullets are designed to expand into a wide mushroom shape that tears through soft tissue and bone without over penetrating the target. This ammo comes in 20-round boxes.
