20rds - 300 Weatherby Mag. 165gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip Ammo Details
Introduced in 1944, the .300 Weatherby Magnum cartridge was a major game changer for big game hunters around the globe. This innovative cartridge had the flattest trajectory, the longest effective range, and the greatest killing power of any .300 magnum on the market at the time, and was only surpassed by the .30-378 Weatherby Magnum developed for the United States Army in 1959.
Weatherby is known for producing premium ammo that delivers premium performance. This package contains 20 rounds of Weatherby Nosler Ballistic Tip ammunition. Each factory fresh cartridge features a 165 grain polymer-tipped projectile. These flat-shooting bullets defy crosswinds, using a boattail design and aerodynamic polymer tip to increase long-range accuracy and performance. Engineered with a fully tapered copper jacket and a lead alloy core, these high-performance projectiles are also designed with a heavy jacketed base that acts as a platform for massive terminal mushrooming. These high-performance projectiles deliver amazing accuracy, monumental terminal mushrooming, deep penetration, and hard-hitting energy transfer.
This factory fresh ammunition is manufactured using only the finest components. This includes high-quality, consistent Norma brass and reliable boxer primers. Each round produces a muzzle velocity of 3350 feet per second with 4111 foot pounds of game-dropping muzzle energy. Use this ammunition for hunting whitetails, mule deer, elk and other big game animals.

I have used this ammunition for years on large game (elk) and smaller game (antelope) in New Mexico. When you use this ammo on a short shot, 100 yards or so, it seems to pass through before it has a chance to expand. On a long shot, say, 350-400 yards or more, it does expand and has great knock down power at the greater distances. Tell Turkey Surprise to get out of his tree stand and let his deer run a ways before he locks in on it!! He will still knock it down if he can hit it a 400+ yards

Excellent accuracy, but does not expand on deer. Although I've got no expansion, every deer shot has dropped instantly.
