20rds – 357 Magnum Speer Gold Dot 125gr. JHP Ammo Details

The 357 Magnum is a powerful weapon indeed. Any layman who wants to provide an example of a big handgun cartridge would likely offer it first. This isn’t to say that your everyday carry wouldn’t be better off with some ammo over others. Chamber this Gold Dot cartridge and you’ll experience firsthand the difference that Speer’s attention to quality delivers.

The Gold Dot bullet is formed according to its manufacturer’s proprietary UniCor process. Because it has been applied to its core electrochemically, the Gold Dot jacket is virtually incapable of separation even as it penetrates some of the toughest barriers an urban environment has got to offer. The Gold Dot’s nose cavity is formed over the course of two stages via a series of die presses: the first controls width of expansion, while the second establishes rate. As the result the Gold Dot is highly dependable, and lethal to boot.

This cartridge’s nickel plated brass casing not only improves the ease with which it can be plunked into a cylinder, but also safeguards it against corrosion. This round’s propellant reliably achieves a muzzle velocity well above the supersonic threshold, and its CCI primer is intensely reliable as well.
