Hornady of Nebraska actually made this ammo’s 230 grain eXtreme Terminal Performance (XTP) bullets. The XTP lives up to its name thanks to its thoroughly engineered jacket, which is drawn to varying thicknesses throughout its entire length and serrated around its rim: both features that promote wider, faster, and altogether more injurious terminal expansion. The XTP’s jacket also shields the rim of its nose cavity, which helps to smooth out feeding as well as prevent damage on impact that could have inhibited expansion.
