Federal Ammunition 125 Grain Open Tip Match Ammo Details

These Tactical Rifle Urban (TRU) loads are Federal's solution for highly effective law enforcement ammo that poses little chance of over-penetration and collateral damage. Each of these 7.62x51mm NATO rounds are built to match-specification using top grade reloadable brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers which are adorned with moisture-blocking sealant in order to preserve reliability. The cartridge is crimped to a 125 grain open-tip match (OTM) projectile at its toothed cannelure in effort to prevent setback and maintain consistent performance.

OTM bullets utilize a hollow meplat (tip), heavy rear, and boat tail shape in order to yield incredible stability and long-range accuracy. Federal sources these projectiles from reputable manufacturers like Sierra and Nosler which results in tighter groups. While the OTM style bullet is designed for sub-MOA precision and not hunting, it has a heavy track record for successfully dropping threats overseas.
