This 12 Gauge shotshell is from Winchester’s Blind Side of shotgun ammunition, and it’s loaded with 1 3/8 ounces of #2 Hex Shot. It’s able to fit such a hefty amount of shot due to Hex Shot’s unique cubic shape -- squares pack together much more closely than spheres can. Hex Shot’s shape also means that each pellet possesses 12 relatively sharp edges, enabling it to easily pierce waterfowl’s rugged plumage so it can create a deep and catastrophic wound channel. This shot is made of steel as well, so it’s perfectly safe for the wetlands, and the shell’s exceptionally fast muzzle velocity gives steel the oomph it needs to get its job done well.This shotshell features Winchester’s diamond cut wad, which works with its Hex Shot to create a consistent pattern that is up to a quarter wider than a traditional shell’s. You needn’t worry about this shell’s powder becoming ruined by moisture thanks to its Drylock Super Steel System which effectively seals water out.
