This is .12 Gauge Federal Blackcloud 3 1/2" 1 1/2oz #BBB Steel Shot Ammo. Federal designed the Black Cloud line of ammo with the duck hunter in mind. The proprietary FliteControl wad gets there faster and FliteStopper steel shot cuts on impact for more devastating penetration. Damn fine ammo for taking out those fat Canadians that have the nerve to simply fly across the border without stopping at Border Control!
I use this ammo where local statute requires steel shot be used, mainly water fowl. It has proven itself time and again for me. Shot patterns experienced are as stated above; "consistent" - ALWAYS.
Only complaint: This round is so effective, I bag my limit (3 per day) of honkers in no more than two shots!
I have actually brought down three Canadians in one shot. I have done this many times, I am sure others have as well. However, my ability to accomplish this was and is increased using 12 Ga. Federal Blackcloud 3 1/2" 1 1/2oz #BBB Steel Shot rounds.
