These heavy waterfowl loads were made to celebrate Winchester's 150th year in business and are as functional as they are collectible. Each box of 12 gauge shells features the classic Winchester cowboy logo with "150 Years" stamp and a silver-colored ornate pattern similar to that found on traditional custom rifles. These rest on a background which depicts the American hunting tradition by way of geese flying in the sky and a beautiful Labrador Retriever "gun-dog" proudly bearing a male mallard in its mouth.Underneath the flair and decorum, these shells are built on the Super-X model that outdoor sportsmen have come to love over the decades. These 3 inch shells give you 1-1/4 ounces of #2 steel shot which is statistically best for dropping all manner of ducks and pheasants. High-brass shotshells like these contain a stronger charge in order to produce higher muzzle velocity and push denser patterns out to long distance so you can keep your retrievers busy!
Other components include a high-strength hull for resilience and reloading, a one-piece hinged wad which tightens patterns and reduces felt recoil impulse, and Winchester's own 209 primer and premium grade powder for reliable ignition wherever the hunt may take you.
