30rds – 5.45x39 Silver Bear 60gr. FMJ Ammo Details

This 5.45x39 cartridge by Silver Bear is manufactured in Russia’s Barnaul Cartridge Plant, and accordingly features the type of steel casing that the country is so well-known for. You’ll note that this round’s price tag nicely reflects the disparity between the cost of steel and brass, although it’s going to be of about as much use at your reloading bench as your dog would. Not to disparage your dog, of course, we just assume that they’re not very helpful when it comes to reloading ammo.

This round’s casing is plated with zinc, which gives it increased resistance to corrosion as well as enhanced ability to cycle smoothly through a semi-automatic weapon. It features a non-corrosive Berdan primer as well, so it can sit content on your shelf for ages. This round’s 60 grain full metal jacket will protect your rifle’s bore from rapidly accumulating lead residue, and further helps it to penetrate a variety of targets.

Not one failure to feed, fire or eject with my Arsenal Arms SGL31-61. My only problem with it is that it left a thick metal flake residue inside my rifle. Cheap, reliable and readily available ammo!

This ammo does not work in my Century Arms AK-74. Purchased over 700 rounds of the stuff. Ammo functions properly, but key-holes on paper. Now I am stuck with all this ammo I can't use. Funny Tulammo of the same weight shoots true. Go figure!!

This is an OUTSTANDING ammo for the Saiga AK 74. This is the BEST performer that I have found and it is difficult ammunition to find. It's the only ammo that lets my AK 74 fire trouble free with various AK 74 clips. I've had problems with other types of ammo in my AK 74, but this ammo is absolutely fantastic. No jams at all!<br />
You can't beat Silver Bear 60 gr. FMJ 5.45x39 and the rices/service at Ammunition to go can't be surpassed! Thanks, Ammunition to go!

I SHOT 150 ROUNDS THROUGH MY BULGARIAN AK-74 AND HAD NO PROBS WHATSOVER. IT SEEMS CLEAN AT LEAST 150 ROUNDS LATER BUT THAT DOES NOT MATTER MUCH IF YOU CLEAN YOUR GUN AFTER SHOOTING EVERY TIME ANYWAYS. I WON'T BE SHOOTING ANY OTHER KIND AS LONG AS THIS IS FOR SALE.

Great ammo, works well in my Romarm AK-74. Had a few problems with the rounds not fully clearing the weapon, but none were stuck in the chamber even after shooting 100+ rounds through a hot weapon. The problem may be more of an issue with my weapon than the ammo, as I've seen similar issues with Wolf ammo.

The ammo is reliable and fairly clean. Didn't have any problems with accuracy or any ftf. My only complaint was the amount of fte. for whatever reason, when my m&p 15r heated up, the shells tended to overexpand in the chamber. However, for the price I can't complain too much.
