Tula Ammo 165 Grain Soft-Point (SP) Ammo Details
Whether you're lying in the prone behind a Remington 700 or running drills on the shot-timer with a SCAR-17s, you'll find that these inexpensive rounds from Tula can help supplement your hunting and training needs. Each .308 Winchester cartridge is assembled from a steel casing fitted with a clean-burning Berdan primer; the non-reloadable case material cuts down on costs while a phosphate-polymer coating guards against rust in storage. The light polymer film also reduces metal-on-metal contact in order to preserve chamber integrity and proper extractor function. The round propels a soft-point projectile at 2,625 feet-per-second.
With a weight of 165 grains, the soft-point bullet lies squarely in the middle of the .308 load spectrum for a compromise between flat trajectory, manageable recoil, and game-dropping terminal effect. During entry into a hog or deer, the bullet will experience flowering expansion as it penetrates through thick hide and gristle before depositing most of it's energy in the vital areas. The Tula Cartridge Plant has a deep history which reaches back to 1876. Their methods and processes have been refined during lengthy periods of wartime military supply which allows them to offer commercial loads of stunning dependability at an attractive price point.
