50rds – 38 Special +P Remington HTP 125gr. SJHP Ammo

50rds – 38 Special +P Remington HTP 125gr. SJHP Ammo Details

You don’t want ammo in your self-defense pistol that’s only good for making loud noises and puny holes -- you want the power to lay a threat sideways immediately, which is why you want this 38 Special +P cartridge from Remington’s HTP line of ammunition. Its semi-jacketed hollow point bullet will consistently expand to one and a half times (if not double) its original .355 inch diameter, and with a jacket to facilitate penetration it predictably burrows right to the optimal depth needed to gravely injure your target. It gives a new meaning to the phrase “going out with a bang” -- at least to the target, that is to say.

A Remington product in full, this round has components that you can place your confidence in. Its factory fresh brass casing has been drawn to exacting specifications, and its Kleanbore primer will ignite its high grade propellant without coating the inside of your pistol with corrosive residues. Please do note that this is +P ammo, and you had only better fire it from a pistol that’s rated for it lest you risk never being able to properly extend your pinky while drinking from a cup of tea at a fancy garden party again.

This round failed three of the five rounds that were fired. two did not expand at all and one expanded poorly at best. While penetration is very good expansion is overall poor. This round is not for under three inch bbl firearms and probably better in four inch firearms. Use 110 grain or 125 grain standard loads up to and inclusive of three inch barrels and you will experience good to great penetration and expansion.
