6.8 SPC Ammo
The 6.8mm Remington Special Purpose Cartridge (aka 6.8 SPC, 6.8 SPC II or 6.8x43mm) was initially developed to replace the U.S. Armed Forces’ 5.56x45 rifle cartridge. The original 6.8 SPC chamber had a design flaw which Remington corrected with the introduction of the 6.8 SPC II (albeit too late to secure the Armed Forces’ business). Technically speaking, all current 6.8 SPC rifles are chambered for 6.8 SPC II.
