840rds – 7.62x39 Prvi Partizan 123gr. FMJ Ammo Details
An AK-47 loves going through tons and tons of ammo. We have to keep our AK and its ammo in two separate rooms, or else we might wake up in the morning to find the rifle escaped from its bag and surrounded by empty shell casings. This big helping of 7.62x39 ammo ought to keep your AK happy for at least a hot minute. It’s made by Prvi Partizan, so unlike a lot of Russian-made ammo it has new production brass cases and completely nonmagnetic 123 grain bullets. Take this ammo to any range you care to, and run it through the reloading press when you get back home!
This is M67 7.62x39 ammo, with a bullet design that was optimized by Yugoslavia in the 1960s to offer a higher velocity and more effective wounding profile than the original Soviet M43. As a full metal jacket it’s still the type of bullet best suited for target shooting and plinking, although its ability to destabilize at a depth of around 7” in soft tissue makes it pretty devastating to its target. If an AK-47 plays any role in your emergency preparedness plan, you’ll be a lot better off with 840 rounds of M67 7.62x39 than without it.
