50rds - 357 Mag Aguila 158gr. SJSP Ammo Details

These .357 Magnum rounds from Aguila are an excellent choice for chasing down hogs and dropping deer with your favorite hunting revolvers and lever-action rifles. Aguila ammunition is manufactured in Mexico using machinery that was originally setup by Remington. Since the early 1960s, their cartridges have been known for stringent quality control, dependable ignition, and economical price. These rounds are assembled using reloadable brass casings, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and a 158 grain semi-jacketed soft-point (SJSP) projectile.

158 grains is a common heavy weight for the .357 caliber and puts an emphasis on smoother, stouter recoil with strong momentum and deep penetration. This effort is furthered by the SJSP projectile which has a copper jacket that comes halfway up the exposed portion of the bullet. Upon impact, the uncovered lead will provide some expansion while the prevailing copper jacket helps to retain weight and maintain relative shape. These features make the round great for overcoming thick breast plates and shoulder bones in order to transfer energy and create larger wound cavities in the appropriate vital zones.
