50 BEOWULF

The 50 Beowulf (aka 12.7x42mm) is a .50 cal cartridge developed specifically for the AR-15 rifle. Short-range stopping power is the name of the 50 Beowulf’s game, and its unusually heavy 300 to 400 grain bullet does indeed pack a serious punch. This round has proven itself more than suitable for taking medium and large game – especially in areas where bottlenecked cartridges aren’t permitted for hunting.
