5000rds – 22 LR Winchester Wildcat 40gr. LRN Ammo Details

This 22 LR cartridge from Winchester’s Wildcat line of ammunition sports a 40 grain lead round nose projectile. This common type of bullet owes its great popularity primarily to its cost -- because it is so basic, firing one doesn’t require that the shooter first engage in a careful budgetary debate. The round nose of this bullet provides a good balance of penetration and impact energy, and while this bullet won’t expand within soft targets it will certainly deform and tumble to create the kind of wound channel that is certain to thoroughly spoil a varmint’s day.

These brass cased rounds feature non-corrosive rimfire primers, so they’ll be gentle on your firearms’ bores and actions and also suitable for long-term storage. With 5,000 of these versatile and cost-effective rounds you’ll be as ready for plinking and target practice as you are for picking off any raccoons who’d have the audacity to pilfer your trash cans. Winchester has over 15 decades worth of experience making fine firearms and ammunition, and that really shines through in these handy rounds.

I have an older J.C. Higgins and it will shoot Wildcat all day long. Have put several bricks through it and only had a handful of FTF. Consistent 1-1/2" to 2" groups at 100 yards. Exceeds my expectations from a worn out rifle.

Fired in Ruger Marl IV in every 10 round magazine 2 refused to fire. Gun had over 200 rounds fired with other ammo prior, without a hitch.
