PMC Ammunition 158 Grain Jacketed Soft-Point (JSP) Ammo Details

This 357 Magnum cartridge hails from South Korea, where PMC manufactured all of its components from raw materials. Their scrutinous production and quality assurance protocol make PMC’s ammo extremely reliable for its price tag!

This round’s 158 grain projectile is a jacketed soft point. It’s a fine choice for self-defense, as the partial jacket will facilitate penetration before continuing to control the rate at which its exposed core causes expansion. This bullet’s flat meplat itself creates a wide wound channel, and further serves to avert a magazine discharge if you load it in a lever action like Henry’s Big Boy. Even if you only fire these rounds at paper targets, you will like the clean holes that their bullets punch out.

Uniformly straight and concentric brass casings will serve as the foundation for a rewarding handloading project, and non-corrosive primers will let you clean your firearm without the aid of ammonia. A good, versatile round to have on hand for whatever may come!

I have heard good and bad about this ammo but so far I have to give it five stars. I shoot this out of my GP-100 and at 50 yds I can keep all bullets in 2 inch group all day long I also shoot it in my henry carbine and at 100 yds I get 1 inch groups with no problem. The carbine is topped with a Nikon pro hunter scope and so far it has taken 3 deer from 35 yds to 84 yds all were verified with range finder all were one shot kills and to put the frosting on the cake I took a nice hog all were neck shots and BANG lights out.
