Syntech cartridges are comprised of conventional components such as reloadable brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers but also utilize the all-new Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ) projectile. TSJ bullets are built by taking a traditional lead core and completely encapsulating it with a polymer jacket. This not only reduces the amount of lead fouling left behind in the firearm, but decreases metal-on-metal contact and the resulting heat in order to preserve a barrel's condition and long-term accuracy.This combined effort to keep your carry or competition gun cleaner ensures its dependable function when you need it! Syntech ammunition is also healthier to shoot indoors since is has a very low effect on air quality in cramped environments. I love how these syntech TSJ cut back on cleanings, I can get at least 50+ through the barrel before another cleaning. Fantastic brand.

I recently went through 400 rounds of this ammunition on a pistol class taught by Rob Pincus. I was a little concerned that the polymer jacket might not stand up to the heat and blazing sunshine, but I had zero malfunctions, and my weapon did seem less dirty than I was expecting. I can't attest to the friction heat reduction because I couldn't adjust for my weapon being in the sun, but the bottom line is that this ammunition seems to perform as advertised.
