17 MACH 2 Ammo
The 17 Hornady Mach 2 (aka 17 HM2) is essentially a 22 LR necked down to seat a .17 cal bullet. Its lighter 17 grain bullet may not literally achieve Mach 2 velocity, although its significantly higher muzzle velocity does guarantee a flatter trajectory than the 22 LR could ever offer. The 17 HM2 remains effective within ranges up to 175 yards. A great pick for varmint hunting, albeit one that is incompatible with 17 HMR firearms!
