260 REMINGTON
The 260 Remington (aka 6.5-08 A-Square) entered commercial production in the late 1990s, and has since won a lot of fans thanks to its 6.5mm projectile’s intrinsically high ballistic coefficient. Its similar trajectory to the 300 Win Mag with less accompanying recoil makes long-range hunting more accessible to shooters with smaller frames. The 260 Rem usually features a 120 or 140 grain bullet, although lighter loads for varmint hunting are also available.
