300 REM SA ULTRA MAG

The 300 Remington Short Action Ultra Magnum (aka 300 RSAUM, 300 RSUM, or 300 Rem SAUM) is, appropriately enough, a shortened version of Remington’s 300 Remington Ultra Magnum. Ballistically speaking, the 300 RSAUM performs similarly to the 300 Win Mag, and for all intents and purposes its performance is identical to that of the 300 WSM. Typically available loaded with 150, 165, 180 or 200 grain projectiles; suitable for hunting all North American game (but arguably not quail).
