30-40 KRAG

The 30-40 Krag (aka 30 U.S., or 30 Army) was developed for the United States Armed Forces during the 1890s. It was our military’s first cartridge that was designed around smokeless propellant, and would eventually find its home in the M1892 Springfield. The original loading featured a 220 grain full metal jacket round nose projectile capable of achieving 2,000 fps muzzle velocity out of a 30” barrel.
