The 307 Winchester was designed to deliver performance comparable to the 300 Savage out of a lever-action rifle with a tubular magazine. The .30 cal cartridge’s dimensions are virtually identical to the 308 Win, save for its thicker case walls and rimmed base. Fairly uncommon, although Winchester Super-X 307 Win 180 grain soft point ammunition is occasionally available for purchase.
