308 MARLIN
The 308 Marlin Express was designed to perform comparably to the 308 Win, but with a design that permits safe operation out of a lever-action rifle with a tubular magazine. It is the highest-velocity commercially produced lever-action cartridge, with a 140 grain projectile that achieves 2,800 fps muzzle velocity out of a 24” barrel. To date, only Hornady and Remington have produced 308 Marlin ammo since its introduction to the market in 2007.
