308 NORMA MAGNUM

The 308 Norma Magnum (aka 7.62x65mmBR) is a powerful hunting cartridge based on the 300 H&H Magnum. Although suitable for taking all North American game, the 308 Norma Magnum has lost a good deal of the popularity it received immediately following its introduction in 1960 thanks in large part to the advent of the 300 Winchester Magnum. Capable of accelerating a 200 grain projectile to a muzzle velocity of ~2,900 fps.
