338 NORMA MAG

The 338 Norma Magnum is one of the great long-range .338 cal rifle cartridges. It was designed to leverage the 300 grain Sierra MatchKing projectile (which was not available during the design phase of the 338 Lapua Magnum), and accelerates that bullet to a velocity of 2,700 fps out of a 24” barrel. At that rate the bullet exhibits a high 0.768 G1/0.384 G7 ballistic coefficient – hence its impressive 1,600+ yard effective range.
