The 340 Weatherby Magnum was introduced in 1962. It was Roy Weatherby’s response to the 338 Win Mag, and accelerates the came caliber projectile to a higher velocity (250 grain: ~2,950 fps). Like its competitor, the 340 Wby Mag is suitable for hunting all North American game. Its performance even rivals that of the significantly larger 375 H&H Magnum.
