356 WIN.
The 356 Winchester was introduced in 1982 – relatively late in the game for a lever-action rifle cartridge. Its performance is comparable to that of the 358 Win, although its .358 cal bullet doesn’t achieve quite as high a muzzle velocity. The 356 Win is mostly defunct nowadays. You may be able to find Winchester Super-X series ammo, but handloading is your best bet if you want to hunt deer with this round.
