450 NITRO EXPRESS
The 450 Nitro Express is one of the great African Big Five cartridges; the first Nitro Express round, which John Rigby based on the 450 Black Powder Express. It was later replaced by the 470 Nitro Express after the British Army banned .450 cal ammo in Sudan and India (they didn’t want the locals using the bullets to reload 577/450 Martini-Henry ammunition).
