6.5 JAP Ammo
The 6.5x50mmSR Arisaka (aka 6.5 Jap) was the Japanese military’s standard service rifle and machine gun cartridge from the turn of the 19th century until the late ‘30s. The Chinese military would continue to use (commandeered) Type 38 rifles up through the Korean War. Handloaders are mainly responsible for keeping this ammo alive, although some manufacturers like Norma also produce it.
