6.5MM - 284 NORMA

The 6.5-284 Norma is essentially a 284 Win cartridge necked down to seat a 6.5mm bullet. It has been around since the 1960s, but wasn’t standardized until its namesake applied with the C.I.P. in 1999. It is a niche round – almost exclusively fired by benchrest competitors, although not remotely incapable of taking large and medium game as well.
