One of Roy Weatherby’s first, which he created by necking down a 300 H&H Mag case to seat a .284 cal bullet and shortening it so it would feed through a standard-length action. The 7mm Wby will topple deer all the way up to great bears, but take care to use the right bullet for your rifle’s rate of twist. A 1:10” twist barrel will stabilize bullets as heavy as 175 grains, whereas a 1:12” barrel isn’t suitable for bullets heavier than 150.
