8X57 JR Ammo

The 8x57 JR is an 8mm Mauser cartridge with a rimmed case. It was a popular cartridge for European drilling rifles (which included barrels chambered for shotshells), although its use in the United States has been fairly limited. European manufacturers like Prvi Partizan occasionally export ammo with 196 grain full metal jacket or soft point bullets for the benefit of American sportsmen.
